Dear Gene and Toni,

"On the last night of the workshops, we were given a script to cold read.  All the women had the same script.  It was an emotional piece, but not to be over the top.  The character needed to cry at a particular point.  One of Gene's exercises that works so well for me is "I'm a  woman ......., he's a man .............".  Anyway, everyone had to be redirected, except me.  I wasn't concerned about having to cry.  I just dropped in my exercise and just let things happen.  And Gee! I cried with one tear rolling down right on cue.  The others were trying too hard to cry and it was evident.  The Casting Director just looked at me for a moment after regrouped and said "That was brilliant".
